Reverie is a plant-forward restaurant on Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The brief was to create a space that felt like a dream half-remembered: warm, textural, and quiet in the best possible way. Studio RB designed the interior around a palette of deep charcoal plaster, antiqued copper tile, and dusty rose velvet — materials chosen for their tactility and their ability to age beautifully.
The signature banquette wall, with its continuous run of tufted round-back seats against hand-textured plaster, became the visual heart of the space. Gold sculptural birds in flight animate the wall above, creating a sense of life and movement. The host stand — clad entirely in oxidised copper tile — sets the tone from the moment guests arrive. The full-length bar runs the depth of the room, anchored by a shelf of ancient amphora vessels against copper-tiled walls, with brass pendants dropping from the ceiling above. Every detail was chosen to feel discovered rather than designed.
