Dr. Debra M. Kroll’s medical office on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is an 800-square-foot professional space designed by Studio RB to feel welcoming, calm, and entirely unlike the typical clinical environment. The brief asked for an interior that would put patients at ease immediately — a space that communicated professionalism and care through its design rather than its signage.
Studio RB designed the reception and consultation areas around a palette of warm stone, natural wood, and soft plaster, with a fireplace as an unexpected centrepiece that transformed the room’s character entirely. The result is a professional space that feels like a considered home rather than a medical office.
