The Balford Lobby is a 950-square-foot residential lobby in Queens designed by Studio RB to transform an underperforming entrance into a genuine statement of arrival. The brief asked for an interior that would make residents proud to come home — a lobby that communicated quality and care without the budget of a luxury tower.
Studio RB designed around a tight palette of large-format stone tile, warm metal fixtures, and custom millwork that maximised the sense of space and quality within the constrained footprint. The result is a lobby that feels genuinely designed — considered, calm, and entirely appropriate to its building and neighbourhood.
