One of Studio RB’s earliest and most ambitious projects, the Cortland Complex is a 12,000-square-foot residential development in Manhattan encompassing multiple units across several floors. The brief called for a cohesive design identity that would differentiate the building in a competitive market while appealing to a range of residents.
Studio RB developed a design language that combined durable, high-quality materials with a warm, residential sensibility — an alternative to the cold minimalism that characterised much of the competition. The result was a building that consistently outperformed comparable listings in the neighbourhood.
